Hi there!
We are Semrush, a global IT company developing our own product – a platform for digital marketers.

And this is our Golang Developer (Core Team) role for those who want to turn ideas into reality using code, algorithms, and maybe a bit of magic.


Tasks in the role

  • Writing code that not only works but is also easy to understand, maintain, and test.

  • Maintaining and improving Go services capable of scale and handling high loads. Also, monitoring and deploying code.

  • Participating in software architecture design and fault-tolerant distributed system development in Go.


Who we are looking for

We think that these types of experience and competencies will help our future colleague to join the team.

  • 3+ years of commercial development experience.

  • 1+ years of commercial Go development experience.

  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.

  • Strong knowledge of Linux.

  • Responsible attitude towards unit testing.

  • Good understanding of a distributed database operation.

They say there are no perfect candidates, but that might well be you, if

  • You have experience with Kubernetes.

  • Proficiency in application profiling skills.

  • Knowledge of Clean Architecture.

  • Own Go projects


  • Experience with PHP—we have a PHP legacy code that we’re actively trying to get rid of.

  • Linux and Mac workstations.

  • Go as a primary programming language.

  • ClickHouse, MySQL, Spanner, and Redis for data storage.

  • Terraform and Gitlab CI.

  • Kubernetes and Google Cloud.

  • For our clients, we work to make registration, authorization, and profile handling as convenient and secure as possible and keep their personal data safe.
  • For in-house users, we build and maintain high-performance infrastructure services that store and provide all relevant data about the user and their product limits.
